If you haven't caught on yet I have a obsession with peanut butter and those things made out of peanut butter. I also look for fun unique and unusual things made out of peanut butter. I have truly searched all over the United States for the most unique things I could find made from peanut butter and I am creating a series of hubs about those oh so delicious and unique items made from peanut butter.

To make your Peanut Butter and Jelly Bars you will need.

1. 2 Sticks of unsalted butter at room temperature

2. 1 1/2 Cups Sugar

3. 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract

4. 2 Large Eggs

5. 2 Cups of Creamy Peanut Butter

6. 3 Cups of Plain Flour

7. 1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder

8. 1 Teaspoon Table Salt

9. 1 1/2 Cups of your favorite Jam

10. 1/2 Cup Of Salted Peanuts Chopped Fine

You will want to preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

You will want to spray a 9"X13" pan with vegetable cooking spray and line it with wax paper. And then spray the wax paper well with your vegetable cooking spray.

In a mixing bowl you will want to combine your butter and sugar and mix together well. With your mixer on low speed add in your vanilla , 2 eggs, and your creamy peanut butter and mix together very well beating on low speed.

Into a small bowl sift your flour, salt, and baking powder and then add it to your mixing bowl being sure to mix on low speed and mix until very well blended together.

Pour two thirds of your mixed up ingredients into your prepared pan and set in the freezer for about 30 minutes until well chilled. After 30 minutes remove from freezer and spread your jam over the top of your dough. Return to freezer for 30 minutes and after 30 minutes take it out and pour and spread the remainder of your mixed dough over the top.

Sprinkle your chopped peanuts over the top and bake for 45 minutes until your bars are golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool to room temperature before you cut into bars. You can wrap these with plastic wrap. I guarantee you that your kids will love these. They are delicious.
