I recently attend the 2008 Pebble Beach Concourse d'Elegance and got some great photos. My friend Brian had even better photos so I have posted some of his as well. I love the photos of the hood ornaments, they are real works of art.

For more information about the car show, check out some of my other hubs.

Below are some photos of concept cars, mostly from teh 1950s.  They don't usually have a display of these types of cars at the Pebble Beach  show so I thought these were really interesting.

Wonderful! As a former San Francisco resident myself, I've had the luck to visit this show...a great time!

Playa - so glad I ran across your hub! I grew up in Carmel and started going with my dad when I was very young. I think it gave me my appreciation for well designed cars. I'm going to check out your other hub - just wanted to say thanks for sharing!

Awesome pictures. I would love to have one of those as my weekend car.

I love the photos. The Lalique Art Glass Eagle hood ornament is kind of crazy, but I like it.

Thanks Bizzy- I am sure you must have great stories about the show. I think it has changed a lot over the years and is a lot more formal (and expensive!) these days.

Great pictures and thankfully captioned. Came accross this site while doing some research on Concours events. We are having one this weekend in Mumbai, India and a judge from Pebble Beach is also going to be there. I will be showing a 1930 Pierce Arrow 7 seater Tourer and a 1936 Mercedes Roadster.
