People Do Not Really Hate GOD

Wishing I was GOD.

How could any one possibly hate GOD, that makes no sense.  What I hear when people say they hate GOD is they hate their life and they really wish they had the knowledge and power to change their life circumstance. I hear that they wish they had control, the ability to make things "better". If GOD is the sustainer how do you hate GOD.  The symptoms of physical and emotional discomforts are disturbing so naturally people may want some force or being to blame, because they do not like to admit how powerless we really are relative to all material nature.  GOD is a great candidate to blame, yes "I hate GOD" that is so easy, I have no spiritual responsibility for my getting embodied on planet earth, yes GOD let me blame you.

It makes no sense to hate GOD, anyone seen GOD in person lately, if not how could you hate some one that you never met. No the truth as I have studied is that the people who hate GOD wish they were GOD and that means they have no appreciation for who they are as a uniques individual living entity.

Some people may hate GOD because some one they loved has died and they are shocked about the reality of physical death. GOD "why did you let my loved on die, you could have saved them, you are all powerful"? Then they hate GOD because they may feel GOD shuold have saved their loved one.  People that have not internalized the fact that life is physically temporary have good reason to hate GOD. GOD keep inconviencing them by taking their loved one unexpectedly.

Some people may hate GOD because they think GOD is alzzy and they do all the work.  GOD, "why you have me down on this planet doing all the work while you get to have a great time in heaven, that is not fair".  That will lead right back to the I wish I was GOD syndrome.  Some people may hate GOD because they see all the apparent suffering in the world and think GOD is just some cruel being who like to watch people suffer for fun.  They may wonder with their nice, caring, gentle sweetheart, "why can't life be pleasant for all living beings? GOD why don't you save us all"

SOme people may hate GOD because if you ever listen to what the religious leader say "we have to serve GOD"? Aw come on I would rather be served, hey having people wait on me hand and foot sound so good some days.  Wait, that goes right back to the I want to be GOD complex.

Ultimately people hate GOD because they are not GOD and they wish they were able to either conquer GOD and institute their own universe or just out right become GOD and take over from this point in time.

Well I hope you enjoyed. Thank you for you attention.

you said this "Ultimately people hate GOD because they are not GOD and they wish they were able to either conquer GOD and institute their own universe or just out right become GOD and take over from this point in time. "

good point and borne out in surveys. people who bully do so because of envy. people who feel powerless and miserable in their own lives tend to try to accrue power to control others. they miss that the ultimate freedom lies not in controlling others, but in controlling themselves. power is an illusion and those who suffer from thinking others have power over them or they have power over others are delusional. they miss the only real key to their own happiness, taking control of themselves.

on another note, people who rage against God are only saying they think about God constantly and God does indeed control their lives, rather than those who allow spirituality to fall into their every day lives in a normal way.

I can always picture that angry little ant shaking his fist at God screaming at him "I don't believe in you!". People who aren't obsessed with God don't do that.

there is a difference too between being spiritutal and being religious. many who claim to be religious are simply choosing to use the concept of God to establish power over others. it works both ways, neither is all that healthy, imo, two different sides of the same illness - an unhealthy obsession with a wrongly defined "power".

this is quite a good essay. I look forward to reading more of your work.

People Do Not Really Hate GOD in the News

  • I said, "I REALLY HATE LOUD TV COMMERCIALS!"The Flint Journal22 hours ago

Because this IS a form of terrorism. My wife and I have both said so for years. We’ll be sitting there watching, say, a nice, quiet football game and the announcer says, “We’ll be right back,” and then the next thing we hear is, “MEN, ARE YOU URINATING LESS FREQUENTLY?” And the volume is so loud that all hell breaks loose. Popcorn goes flying. Coffee spills. Laps burn. Dogs awake down the block ...
