So my friends and I were having a very very deep discussion about who should be the 2008 winner of People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive. Once this discussion was started it was important to list the previous winners. And they are....

Some of these covers I can truly remember especially the first issue with Mel Gibson, I was young but thought it was a great cover, I might have even kept it under my pillow (shh don't tell). One woman in our discussion group thought it was important to have more men of color on the cover since Denzel Washington was the only African American chosen to date. I know that there are a few people I would like to see on the cover that have not graced it as of yet, but I am not certain that they fit the criteria that People Magazine sets forth. So who should be this year's winner? Well here are a few of my suggestions and granted I chose from the African American community because like my friend I would like to see some diversity.

hello!!! isnt it obvious, they pickt he sexiest man based on how good of a year he had - so its obvious it should be Will Smith or Robert Downey Jr :))
Well Becky we will have to wait and see who they choose. Someone mentioned to me that they thought it would be Heath Ledger because of his death, I am not sure that I completely agree with that but it will be interesting to see who they choose.
I'm going with David Cook!!! talented -sexy-smart and thudworthy!
My vote is for Mr. David Roland Cook....talented, beautiful, articulate, smart, humble and gracious. He is the total package!!

Iron Man! Robert Downey jr!!! He has survived all the drugs! Is happily married with a great career.He can also sing/paint and is very funny. Still great looking too! He has been overlooked and underrated too long. My other choice is Heath Ledger.So what if he is dead. He should be judged on his life not his death,like every one here on earth should be. There is a photo of H.L with his daughter and the dry cleaning and groceries! Any man that does all that at once and is handsome too, gets my vote.He made a big mistake,was not perfect, never tried to be. People Mag does not have the balls to pick him though.They will probably go with the arrogant Beckam. Yuck!
Jane I would agree that Robert Downey Jr would be a good choice he has seemingly turned his life around and I was surprised by his performance in Iron Man. I would be surprised if they picked Heath Ledger as well but who knows they might. I would not approve of Beckham being on though I think that is a horrible choice.

My vote goes to Hugh.He is really the sexiest human being on the planet,male or female.The man is sex on legs!So much sex-appeal.And got a personality,too.Looks and personality.An lotsa talents...
