People Will Believe Anything...Even Me...An Update

Who hasn't done it?
Let's face it. There are two undeniable truths that we will never get over.
- We all want a faster way to look like a movie star.
- At 2 in the morning, every infomercial that promises to give us just that look damn good.
Now I have no excuse. I have plenty of time to exercise and with a visit to my mother's coming up, plenty of motivation to lose weight. I blame my thyroid, but really, I'm just lazy. Now, I like jump roping. It gives you a work-out, and you don't have to run anywhere. No hills or anything. I probably have five different jump ropes somewhere in my storage shed. I've acquired them over the years with the promise to myself of getting in shape jump roping.
At about 11 last night, I saw a commercial for something that I thought was astoundingly stupid. A ropeless jumprope. It's not that it's a bad idea, it's more that they're paying someone for part of a jump rope. I even made fun of it with my father. We laughed and laughed. About half an hour ago, I got curious as to what would make someone buy something so stupid. Ten minutes later, I bought the whole kit.
Not because it was so great or anything. I have no idea if I'll even use it. Most of my exercise equipment is currently collecting dust somewhere. I'm just THAT much of a sucker. Plus, it's kind of a cool premise. A lot of the reason I never used the jump ropes I bought was that I didn't have anywhere indoors to use it and I've always lived where there is extreme weather. I know excuses, excuses. Who knows? This might be what I've been looking for all along. Either that, or I'm just another sucker.
I'll let you guys know how it works out!
You at least get a good deal on Amazon.

A status update
I got it in the mail. It looks like it's just what it's supposed to be. Of course I have not had the time to use it...okay that's a lie. I just haven't had the motivation. They are out of the box and in the carry bag.
I'll keep you apprised of my progress. I was thinking of putting the batteries in tomorrow. The programming instructions seem kind of complicated so that may have to wait. I do have the feeling that when I go visit my mom and stepdad and get called fat every second of every day, I'll whip'em out. We'll see.
