For so many reasons, I consider March the best month of the year. First, it signifies that winter is on it's way out. I live in Chicago, and by this time of year, I've had just about enough. The days of shorts and flip-flops is once again approaching. Second, I learned a while back, that few things get me as excited as March Madness. Even for those who don't watch college basketball on a regular basis, March Madness has a special place in their hearts. Perhaps it's the office pools or the Las Vegas gambling. Whatever the reason, people love it. I also happen to be a huge college football fan but the BCS Championship game is just one game. At the end of the football season, only two teams matter. March Madness gives even the underdogs a chance...and people love the Cinderella Story.

I had the pleasure of going to the University of Florida, so the past two years have been exceptionally great for my college sports watching enjoyment. Something that I've learned about myself is that every year, I can't wait to buy some new orange and blue item to help show my Florida Gator spirit. My house has countless items sporting the Gator logo. This year, I decided, that it was my duty to help others figure out what else they can do to show support for their favorite team. I've searched the web for you and put together a list of sites where you can buy some not so ordinary items for yourself or a loved one.

I think it's time to think outside the box! I've already got the team flag, the team key chain, the team mouse pad, etc. I wanted to find something different, something original, that most people don't already have. So, here's what I found:

First, while searching around I found a great product. I stumbled across http://www.seasonaldesigns.com/. This site sells multiple sizes of grill covers for many major universities. An NCAA grill cover is subtle way for someone to show their team loyalty. These are great for everyone who enjoys grilling or just being outside on the patio. Along with protecting their treasured grill, these are sure to add some flare and make your neighbors jealous.

Next, I came across a site which I love. http://www.gnomefrenzy.com/ sells a wide variety of NCAA garden gnomes. I know what your thinking....but allow me to finish. I've had never previously owned a garden gnome, but these little guys are awesome and I bought one for my office. I would say that these would be more of a "home gnome", than a garden gnome, but would work anywhere. They have about 50 major universities and appear to be expanding. Even though this is an article about college sports, they also have NFL Gnomes and MLB Gnomes. These kinds of novelty items are great for the college sports fan who really thinks they have everything. Being that they are under a 12" tall they really can go anywhere. Along with the garden, look great in the office, game room, or media room. You can even sit this little fella on the couch with you while watching the games.

Also, for an item that I thought was just great, go to http://www.collegiateluggage.com/. This site has bags and luggage for a number of colleges all over the country. They've got a great variety. They have hanging garment bags, Tote Bags, along with full size travel luggage. This site can meet your needs for any type of travel gear. In the past, I've been known to buy relatively cheap bags and luggage and seem to always need new luggage. Now, I can travel and let the entire world know that I am a Florida Gator fan. Now you can and should do the same.
