Imagine this......

It's a beautiful August Afternoon in a town in South West Ireland called Newcastlewest. When there you drive up to the demense of a castle, park your car and take off walking......

You approach a stream that has a little makeshift wooden bridge that leads across to poplar trees . You look down at the water to find it sparkling in the sun like diamonds creating a sense of magic.

........Sports like GAA's hurling and football to soccer are played here but today is Monday and everybody's at the office working 9-5. It's beautiful, balmy weather at 21 Deg Celcius. The Demense has beautiful lush greenary.

You continue walking surrounded by a multitude of trees Ash, Oak, Beech, Horsechestnut & Lime. You get a sense of the history of this Demense and it's castle. It was the epicentre of an earldom implemented by a family of Norman descent known as  Dheas Mhuin (Desmond)  in the Elizabethan era. You can almost hear the ghosts of knights on horseback as they gallop through the Demense preparing for war against Cromwellian forces.

Another bridge is crossed where the soothing sound of water splashing against rocks is heard.

The more you walk through this place, an eco-system at it's finest emerges.

Clouds are gathering now but the weather is still very pleasant.

But now the journey is coming to an end and you're back in your car reflecting on the beautiful experiences of nature, history and exercise!!
