For many first time parents one of the biggest questions is - how much clothes do we need for our child? As I will explain in this article, that depends. It depends on how your child is and it depends on how much you want to work with the clothes.
Basically the two factors are:
- Some babies throw up a lot. Therefore they need more clothes than other infants that doesn't have this problem.
- How often do you want to wash the clothes?
Throwing up - As I wrote, some infants throw up often and a lot. To make sure your child is comfortable you have to change his clothes when he throwed up on them. That can mean, that you have to change clothes on your baby several times per day. If you're lucky, your child can wear it for a whole day or several days if you want to.
If you have only a few clothes, you have to wash often. I don't like to wash to often and therefore I have bought enough clothes, that I can survive about one week without washing.
How many clothes do you need? I need about one set per day. That makes 7 to be able to avoid washing clothes for one week. For you it can be that a set of seven only holds for a few days. There is no definitive answer to this question. It depends.
