Perfume and Cologne Reviews – Gianni Versace Perfume
74Gianni Versace, founder of Gianni Versace S.P.A (Italian Fashion) opened its first boutique in Milan in 1978. Since then Versace has ventured into business of handmade clothing, Versace parfume and accessories. In addition, the company also owns the Palazzo Versace, the hotel arm of Versace.
Through the years, Versace has attracted a huge group of celebrities’ loyal customers such as Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley, Axl Rose, Jennifer Lopez and even the late Princess Diana. You can observe these relationships through their unique advertisements where familiar faces of celebrities always appeared and it is known that the celebrities that were featured are rewarded both monetary as well as attires from the famous Versace clothing line.
Versace perfume through the years has produces some great fragrances in the industry that include Versace perfume for women and for men as well as one of the sexiest perfume of all time, the Versace signature perfume – Gianni Versace Perfume that was launched in 1981.
In 2009, Versace added a new fragrance to its collection of fragrance, the Versense. The fragrance comprises of elements of Mediterranean and with its authentic expression representing Versace woman perfectly. Versense is crisp, fresh, young and modern, which made it very different from most of the Versace perfumes. The fragrance is very Italian, very light hearted which reminds me of a fresh summer morning on the Italian coast. The floral heart of the fragrance is perfect for spring too.
Versace Bright Crystal Perfume (Versace Woman Perfume)
Versace launched the Bright Crystal perfume in 2006 that take after its predecessor Crystal Noir except some changes to the formula that include a fruity note of Pomegranate, Yuzu and frosted accord as the top notes. As the fragrance enters its heart notes, an indecisive peony takes the stage, flitting around like a drunkard ballerina. The amber and musk are the components of the base notes that blended smoothly the whole smell of the perfume. On top of such perfect combination, the beautiful pink bottle with a large crystal shaped cap has made the perfume even more attractive.
Some men love the smell of a garden full of flowers without the annoying sweetness that is typical for most female fragrances. The heart of the fragrance sees the lush mouthwatering lotus in the background while the magnolia and peony dances on the skin. The original green tea note of Crystal Noir remains but is now as soft and graceful as the voile of a wedding veil. This is the perfect wedding fragrance; pink & cute but in a delicate, innocent way.
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this fragrance as fruity-florals usually send shudders down my spine. Versace Bright Crystal Perfume is the Versace Woman Perfume that is targeted not only at teens or barbie queens, but at a feminine women both young or old and someone who wanted a refined floral and yet contain a playful fruity twist.
Versace Crystal Noir Perfume (Versace Women’s Perfume)
Crystal Noir created by Antoine Lie was introduced in 2004 with a heart of mysterious gardenia that is fresh, sensual, luminous and creamy. The base notes of amber and musk make the scent dark and mysterious that is very sensual and distinct.
Although there are not many "notes" listed in this fragrance, but I think these are enough. They blended well with one another, making the composition balance and perfect. The fragrance is suitable for application during the day or in the evening, especially when weather is warm, cool or cold that strikes a balance between sophisticated and sexy. Versace Crystal Noir perfume is suitable for the sand/sunscreen atmosphere perfectly. Yet it is outrageously sexy without being over-the-top, a fragrance that all women should own a bottle of it!
Featuring fragrance notes of Aldehydes, Tuberose, Orange Blossom, Gardenia, Amber, Coconut, Cherry and Grapefruit, the fragrance is available as eau de toilette in 1oz, 1.7oz and 3oz spray bottle. Prices range from $35 for the 1oz bottle to $82 for the 3oz bottle.
Versace Blue Jeans Perfume (Versace perfume men)
Versace Blue Jean perfume was created in 1994 by Jean-Pierre Bethouart as a classic masculine fragrance with woodsy, citrusy notes with a spicy heart and a warm dry down. Bergamot, lemon, anise, basil and palisander tree are the components of the top note. The heart includes geranium, rose, lavender, jasmine, sage, heliotrope and lily. The dry down contains the notes of iris, sandalwood, vetiver, musk, patchouli, Tonka bean, vanilla and amber.
The top notes are sweet, warm like a hot blue tea. The dry down is even better with candy vanilla and tonka that created a very nice and youthful oriental woody scent except that it does not smell as expensive as Jaipur. For casual wear, Blue Jeans is a Versace perfume men would love and best of all, it lasted ultra long and is also sensual. The fragrance is available as a 2.5oz eau de toilette spray bottle, selling at a price of $42.
Versace Red Jeans Perfume (Versace perfume Women)
The Versace Red Jeans perfume is another fragrance from the Versace Jeans Perfume series created in 1994. The top notes feature peach, apricot, freesia and blackcurrant and middle notes of lily-of-the-valley, violet, water lily and rose. And the under notes comprises of sandalwood, musk and vanilla. Red Jeans perfume is described as sweet and casual, design meant for the young and young-at-heart.
The fragrance has very light and casual scents and in it you will find the juicy peach note dominating from the beginning till the end. However the floral note is vaguely impressed in the background and the fragrance dry down finally into a musky base. The maraschino cherry in this perfume is very strong but without it, it defeats the purpose of wearing the perfume. Best of all, it is able to last for the whole day. The perfume is available as eau de toilette 2.5oz spray bottle retailing at $40.
