Perfume and Other Ladies Csometics

Recently I was in a doctors office waiting room and noticed a small sign. The sign was a coutesy request by the doctor for women who might be coming for appointments to please refrain from wearing perfume or highly scented hair sprays when coming for office visits. Apparently some womens perfumes and hair sprays contain irritants especially to some who have breathing difficulties. Seeing the sign made me think about this subject and the following are some of my thoughts.

I love the perfumes my wife tastefully splashes on her neck just behind her ears and wrists. I think she uses a product called White Diamonds and I have bought her Oscar on several occasions. She uses just enough she tells me to give a "hint of something good." My wife is one of few women who really does not need cosmetics to improve her appearance. She has a natural beauty and with only minor lip gloss or just a little eye shadow, makes her stunning, Some may be likened as the old country preacher once remarked , "A little paint makes an old barn look better." Tastefully applied, cosmetics do in fact make women more attractive.

My great grandmother once commented on the appearance of women who use lipstick,"Looks like a foxes ass at poke berry time." Well I don't hardly agree with her observation but of course, I have never seen a foxes ass at poke berry time nor would I care to make an examination. Lipstick should be used to enhance the lips. My wife uses a natural lip gloss and sometimes is has a fruity flavor to it, very kissable.

I appreciate the beauty of women and love the products many use to enhance their appearance and becoming more appealing. When I worked at GE, I once worked on a short assembly line with seven women. Now this was a trip. Each morning the ladies would have tose compacts out powdering up, some had larger mirrors they had attached just over their work stations so they could comb and brush their hair. For some it was an ongoing routine. One of the ladies had a daughter who was into beauty pageants and she was forever trying some new perfume. Some of the scents like that of Obsession were nice but others did not suit her body chemistry and was downright nauseating. One lady wore some type of perfume that nearly everyone hated and she was reported more than one time to the boss who ultimately ask her not to use that anymore, fortunately she transferred out of our department.

Some ladies wear very loud perfume. The old saying, her perfume arrived five minutes before she did might just be a true statement. Please don't get me wrong, I'd rather smell perfume any day than lineament but a little disgression goes a long way.

The visual of the foxes ass at poke berry time is a lasting visual I just can't shake, but I'll keep on trying. I have smelled perfume described as a French whore house on a Saturday night.

On a more serious note, cosmetics like everything is best done in moderation.

Less is more definitely a favorite of my sons also, lol. I have to wear very little or they get headaches! lol. Great article! :)
