76Jacob, my next door neighbor has just had a pergola constructed. I was convinced one would be a great entertaining feature in my garden as well. Unfortunately, I was taken aback by the bill for his pergola kit. That was way beyond my budget.
Unperturbed, I looked on the web. There are plenty of free pergola plans on the web but I could not uncover one in the size I wanted. Also the sketches and how to build guides looked scant.

- Only use treated wood. Pine is the least expensive. Western Redwood or Cedar are good choices.
