Are you interested in permanent facial hair removal?  If so, chances are you’re either dealing with an unsightly unibrow that won’t quit, or a moustache which just can’t take a hint.  Facial hair can be quite a nuisance, it’s in an area where people are bound to see it and so it is all the more important to get rid of the unsightly hairs you don’t want anyone to see.

If this is the position you’re in and you want to get rid of the hair permanently you have several options:

1.        Electrolysis

Electrolysis is probably one of the best permanent facial hair removal methods for you to try.  What happens Is an electrical current is sent down the root of your hair where it kills it, at which point the hair is easily pulled up and out of the skin.

The way this works is metal probes are inserted into the hair follicle where the small electric current is then administered for a good 10-15 seconds, once enough time has passed, the hair root is left dead and unable to grow back.

When you’re getting this treatment done, it usually is billed to you by the hour, so even though you may notice a cheap hourly rate, the overall cost will completely depend on how long the process takes.  In general though, quotations are going to range between $25-$100 an hour.

Now the number one question that comes up regarding this procedure is “Is it painful?”, well, the answer is subjective. Some people liken the experience to using tweezers, others say that they’ve experienced excessive amounts of pain, but if you are with a qualified electrologist, they will be able to suggest ways to eliminate most of the discomfort.

Now the reason this is considered permanent facial hair removal is because usually when this is done, when an electric current is sent to the root of the hair follicle, it flat out kills it. Once the hair root is dead, the hair just doesn’t grow back. Sure you may have a few resilient hairs, but this should take care of most.

2. Laser Hair Removal

The other form of permanent facial hair removal to consider is laser hair removal. What happens here is a beam of light is sent to the area to be treated where it comes into contact with the hair follicle. This hair follicle then absorbs the laser’s energy and transforms it into heat where it is then disabled.

The good thing about this method over electrolysis is that it can treat hundreds of hairs at a time compared to only one hair at a time. You’re going to have to go in for repeat sessions though to catch all your hair as this only works on hair in currently in the growth phase.

If you’re interested in finding a place to have permanent facial hair removal done, make sure you research your available options on the Internet thoroughly before you actually shell out any money, you might end up making a costly mistake otherwise.
