Personal Injury Protection
63Buying and finding the best insurance plan can be very difficult to most people. Some people may even find it an impossible task. The truth of the matter is that insurance is needed. What is especially needed is personal injury protection in your insurance plan. If that is left out in some plan then you could be wasting a lot of money; the kind of money that does not need to be lost.
When you buy automobile insurance they should cover personal injury, but it is always good to look into it before you buy anything, since insurance is not very cheap. What is expected from automobile insurance is personal property liability, uninsured motorist coverage, collision coverage, comprehensive coverage, bodily injury liability, and lastly, p protection; which is also known as PIP coverage. In some US states, most of these coverage’s are mandatory, but not in every one. Personal injury protection Florida is one such state.
Collision coverage is included in every type of insurance plan. It will take care of your care if it is ruined or totaled in a crash. It will also pay for the other member in the crash’s car if the accident were to be your fault. Now this is great for your car, but what about you. What if you end up being injured in the crash and end up in the hospital? What happens then? So make sure bodily injury liability and personal injury are both covered in your plan. These types of things can very expensive and out of a lot of people’s budgets, but trying to make room for these sorts of things is very serious. Some people begin to think that they are invincible and in no way could anything bad happen to them. Well that is exactly what some of the people that end of up car crashes say. I’m sure they would strikingly disagree with you now.
Pip Coverage
Now in the United States, personal property insurance and bodily injury are mandatory. There is no way of getting out of it. Though it may be priced differently, they all are needed. An excellent example is like in Alaska and Florida. Florida residents only need to carry coverage up to $10,000, while in Alaska if you are a driver you must have coverage at least up to $100,000; and that’s minimum. You should now see how things greatly differ from one another within the States, but is in fact required by law. There are a lot of optional as well. An example of that would be the uninsured driver coverage and personal injury protection. Both of these come highly recommended buying, but most importantly personal injury protection. Who really cares about their car, if you are dying in a hospital bed?

These states include Utah, New York, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Kentucky, Kansas, Florida, Colorado, Oregon, North Dakota, New Jersey, Michigan, Maryland, Hawaii and Delaware. So if you don’t have this type of insurance on your plan then you need to add it right a way. I know this by experience. I was driving home and ran off the road in my car. I broke both my wrists in the accident and needed surgery on both of them. I had this insurance but not enough to cover my medical bills. After having just one surgery to put plates and screws in my wrists I was given a hospital bill for 35,000. My policy covered 10,000 leaving me with 25,000 dollars to pay out of my pocket. This was just the surgeon’s bill. The hospital bill for the 3 days I was in there was 15,000. After adding all the bills up I was left to pay way over 75,000 dollars. This was all because I wanted to save $30 a month on my insurance bill. That $30 turned into me spending over 75,000. Trust me when I tell you it’s worth having at least 100,000 in coverage these days with the price of medical services today! So spend the little extra money and save yourself from situations like these!
