Personalized Valentine's Day cards
53
Leave no scrap unused
My kids always enjoyed designing their own Valentine's Day cards to pass out in their classrooms.
We used all those little "thumbnail" prints that came included in their picture packages. You know what I mean. You get a coupon in the Sunday paper for "100 pictures for only $4.95!" (Fine print: 95 thumbnails, 4 wallets & 1 5x7)
After you pay your $20 sitting fee, you are advised to read the fine print & realize the cutest pictures are the ones that AREN'T included in the package. So you write a check for $125 dollars knowing full well you just got screwed, but the picture of the little turnip-head reaching for the teddy bear was just sooooo cute.
So now what do you do with the thumbnail prints? If your first instinct is to throw them away, then back up the damn trolly. You paid for those. Use them.
It's your right (and responsibility) as a parent to make sure everyone you know, gets one of these microscopic photos of your little champ.
Tape one to a heart shaped piece of paper and let the kid have at it with stickers, markers & crayons. These make cute lilttle homemade cards from the kids to their schoolmates, teachers & grandparents.

Hi Proud Mom,
No, I don't rubber stamp. I've eliminated many "cluttery hobbies" from my life. I used to scrapbook, sew, paint, do pottery & any other impulsive hobby that seemed like a good idea at the time.
I've learned to be a little less impulsive over the years. I still to hobbies this 'fit inside my laptop'. I'm a complete minimalist.
The only rubber stamp I own says "Paid in Full".

Amen, Wednesday!
My husband went to the time and expense of helping me to build an area in the playroom to get my "scraps" off of the kitchen table.
Do you do rubber stamping?
