Persuasion for Meditation

Guided Awareness
Meditation is one of the greatest exercises we can do for our mind. Many people do not participate in this practice because they view meditation as a religious tradition or they are unaware of the benefits of meditation. In order to convince the individuals that are opposed to meditation we must look at the benefits. Before we discuss the benefits let us keep an open mind to possibilities in our own life that we may learn and improve our current circumstances.
When we are stressed out our mind is constantly going and constantly racing. Meditation is a way to rest our mind, quiet our mind, and increase the ability to silence our mind through out the day. Meditation will help us by creating a habit of quieting our mind so that we may be able to bring ourselves to that place of peace at anytime and anywhere.
In our fast paced world we experience many stressors. The number one stressor is our thoughts. We may have a racing mind with our habits of worry and fear on autopilot. When we are on autopilot we may think about what we don't have, other peoples offenses, that life is against us and things aren't going our way, or the need to control others and their behaviors. Maybe we have the inability to enjoy ourselves because of our unwanted emotions like anger, irritability, or moodiness. Another stressor is the innability to fall asleep at night, stay asleep, or get essential hours of sleep due to our noisy mind.
By learning to meditate you can resolve many of these stressful habits and more. By teaching ourselves to meditate we discover and create a habit that will make our lives happier and healthier because of the calm, the peace, and the silence in our minds. To learn to meditate is to learn the ultimate patience and control. If we become patient we will have a less stressed and happier life. When we learn to control our own mind we have authority over the most valuable asset we possess.
Meditation will help anyone find a Spiritual place and space. Finally, Meditation will better assist us in hearing that still small voice.

OMG Justin! I also haven't meditated in a while and I need to get back into the routine! When I used to I felt alot better and could concentrate better and my energy level was out of this World! There should also be more mediation groups available! I would totally go to one if they were more readily available.

I think you are absolutely right! I haven't really meditated much but I know that it is supposed to help.
