Perth Kettlebell Instructor Reveals 5 Best Kettlebell Exercises

Given the fact that many world class athetes, top strength coach, and famous celebrities are using kettlebells, it is without a doubt the benefits kettlebell training can give you in terms of fitness. As a Perth kettlebell instructor and user myself, I have found the benefits can varies depending on the exercises and type of fitness program you use. Do not be confused with kettlebell training as a type of fitness program. Kettlebell is a training tool rather than a program. Here, I shall reveal the 5 best exercises you can do with kettlebell to catapult your fitness level in terms of functional strength, fat loss and cardio.

5 of the Best Kettlebell Exercises are as followed:

The Classic Kettlebell Swing

The swing is a foundational kettlebell exercise that should be mastered with a high level of proficiency in order to do well in other ballistic kettlebell exercises such the clean and snatch. This exercise develops both the power and the movement efficiency of the hips which can improve athletic performance that requires the hip drive. This exercise also develops lower back musculature endurance, tones the gluteal muscles (which is the butt) and develops eccentric strength in the hamstring that can help prevent lower back pain.

The Kettlebell Clean

Another classic movement in kettlebell training which is a lot gentler on the wrists compared to a barbell clean. The kettlebell clean helps to bring the kettlebell safely to the shoulder without straining too much of the wrist and lower back and develop proper techniques of shock absorption. The clean targets the glutes(butt) , hamstrings, adductors (inner thighs), quadriceps, abdominals and the lower back. When the clean is performed as a standalone exercise, it can become a very cardiovascular workout. watch the video below for the demonstration of the clean.

The benefits are developing overall body strength, explosives speed, endurance, cardiovascular fitness. The muscles groups involved are abdominals, glutes, lower back, hamstrings, quadriceps, and shoulders. Watch the video below for demonstration.
