10 Areas of Focus for Pet Owners
Millions of pet owners round the globe face daily healthy and safety issues in and around their home environments. Pet dogs, cats, tarantulas, fish, pigs, lizards, turtles, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, rats, snakes, farm animals and other beloved critters have their own needs, wants and desires, many of which conflict with those of mankind, causing emotional, physical and other types of distress not only for the animals, insects and other wild life, but for the owners and other household occupants.
For example, a dog who has eaten too many table scraps can become sick to its stomach, vomiting all around the home - inside and out - leaving a messy trail and possibly harmful germs, bacteria and food partially-digested food chunks throughout its distress path where other creatures and small children may come into contact. Not good.
Of course, the preferred solution here would be to not have a sick dog. What would have helped to prevent this situation? Better, healthier eating habits of the dog, improved, healthier feeding habits by the humans in the household plus monitoring of all pet areas in and around the home would have helped prevent this messy, unhealthy and unsafe situation from the get-go.

Know what you mean, Joe! It's tough to say, "No!" to those little beggers, and even to try to ignor them. We have to put our guys outside (or one large one drools big time - --not great for anyone trying to eat!)

Feeding your dog table scraps is not the best idea for any dog. My parents are terrible at feeding their dog from the table.
