Our Pet Parrot & How Happy He Is

If you are looking for a parrot as a pet, you will not be disappointed.  They are the most incredible creatures and will become very attached to their handlers in a very short time.

Having said this, I have seen sad and unhappy parrots who are just not able to adjust to the life that they are being forced to live.  If you know what your parrot is going to need in order to be a much happier, healthier bird, then you are both going to enjoy your relationship so much more.

Having lived and loved Chaplin for some time now, we understand that they are their own creatures, with needs that we wouldn't have known about if we had not done our own bit of research into this area.

Did you know that parrots can and will live to up to 60 years in the wild and if the environment you provide for them is right for them, that could be the case in your home too, but for the most part, parrot as pets only live for an average of ten years.

My husband and I lived on a remote island with Chaplin and without a library to get ourselves educated on how best to treat our bird, we were just to delighted to found a complete guide to caring for our pet parrot.

It answered all the questions we had and there was a wealth of information we would never have imaged made such a difference to the life of our pet.
