Pet Society Cheats and Tricks

Updated on July 20, 2011

What is Pet Society on Facebook

Pet Society is a pretty different game on Facebook. You do not play as the actual character but the pet owner. The game is similar to Pet Pals for the Leapster handheld system( one of my daughters favorite games) or even a little like Nintendogs. Both of those games have a huge fan base so it's no wonder why playing something similar on Facebook would be so popular. Pet Society has over 21 million active players and that number is growing every day.

One of the reasons, in my opinion, this game is so popular is it is different then the other popular Facebook games. It may have some similarities to some of the more popular games on Facebook but, it also has a lot of refreshing options.

In Pet Society your main goals are to take care of your pets basic needs, food, clothing, grooming and entertainment and attention. You will start off with a brief tour from the mayor of Pet Society and then you can customize your pet. Pick the head, ears, eyes and body. You will be able to customize more as the game goes on and you move up in level and make some cash.

Next you will go to your house where you can familiarize your self with the different menus to keep your pet health and happy. Once you get comfortable with everything it's time to go mingle, earn some coins and level up and that is where the fun begins.

Coins and Playfish Cash

When playing Pet Society you will need coins and cash to get just about anything you want. Coins are not too hard to get as they are given for just about everything you do in the game. Playfish Cash is different and has to be bought with real money or you can do surveys.

Coins will come in a number of ways. The two main ways as well as easiest are to play the mini games and to trade items. You can start right off by playing ball or Frisbee. When you earn a silver trophy you will be rewarded with 100 coins. After that you can earn coins by competing in races, fishing or even gardening. You can also get points for visiting friends (up to 50 max) as well as a lot of other cool little tricks. Bottom line is getting coins should be no problem if you have the right strategy and just play the game.

As mentioned earlier Playfish cash has to be bought with real money. You can do this through the bank in town but you do not need Playfish cash to enjoy Pet Society. There are some collectable items you can only get with Playfish cash so weather you really want these will determine if you are going spend your money on Playfish cash. You can also do surveys to get the cash as well if you don't want to spend real money.

There are quite a few other ways to raise your coin count, too many to list really. If you want some great tricks to earn easy coins as well as level up quickly and easily you may want to check out the Pet Society Secrets Guide. This guide will take you through every aspect of the game from top to bottom and help you maximize your results with the time you spend playing Pet Society.
