Pet Food In The News - Up To The Minute News
64
Well, some of us don't have the time or the passion to watch television for our latest updates on the pet food recall so I've built this page for us.
I'm setting this page up for my own use but you are welcome to use it, too. I plan to make this my homepage for the latest news releases.
I've picked a number of items for the news feeds to check so we should stay informed. Look at this like your "Pet News Paper" except it is hot off the press.
Let me know if you would like for me to include any other news feeds on this page.
Thanks,
Susan Peters

Not as of yet. Purina has only the Mighty Dog recalled
I haven't seen Petco's brand PET GOLD on the list but, all of the products have been removed from the shelves. They told me it was a labeling factor?????
Is there a site for the vets. to verify the symptoms with help in medication to use?
Erna,
There is at least one Class Action against Petco for false labeling of their products. Seems these companies are including things in their pet foods and making false statements about what their products can do for your pet. The companies didn't include and probably won't include that feeding these foods to your dog or cat could kill them. I'd say they are "protecting their interest"!
Oh, about the vets. Sad news is that most vets are unaware of what is going on with the pet food recall and related matters. Very few even know what they are treating. I've accompanied several of my clients to the vet with their dying pets and the vets (different ones) thought the pets had been poisoned. Not a single one of the vets even knew there was still a problem with the pet food or what the treatment should be.
Don't forget June 17th through the 23rd is National Pet Food Boycott week.

I have a small dashound named Spanky who is very sick with renal failure (kidney disease), all the symptom of the wheat glutin poison. Spanky is only 4 yrs old and we have been feeding him Kibbles & Bits pretty much all his life, has anyone report this food as being one of the dog foods included in the recall. Right now we are giving him subqutanious fluids to try a flush his kidneys & shots from home, he was hospitalized last week for 4 days. So far it has cost over $1000.00 to save our puppys life and probably this week my husband & I will have to make a serious decision, he is very sick. If anyone know anything please let me know. Money is not the issue, we are losing our son, the pain is unbelievable. Thanks, Cheryl
Cheryl,
Kibbles and Bits is a product the company has decided not to include in the recall. Realize there was no one requiring these companies to pull their products. There are thousands of pet illness and pet deaths related to Kibbles and Bits, therefore, a Class Action has been formed against the company. I am so sorry for Spanky.

Thank you Susan,
We lost Spanky today, he is in heaven now. You are a wonderful person to have a site available for people to turn too. My heart is empty, my little boy is gone. To all those who have lost a loved one, I understand your pain and my prayers are with you.
