Grandma Gets Caught

Oh, Sus, I feel like SUCH an utter ass. About 11:30 I told Winnie (the petsitter's dog) to come on we were going over to let Chase (the dog she was pet sitting) out. I saw Adam's car in the driveway so I went to the front door & rang & rang the doorbell.

I could hear Chase barking, but no one came o the door so I decided they had gone in one vehicle. So, I punched the code on the garage and went on in. Chase didn't meet me when I opened the door, so I called him but he didn't show.

I went on in, was in the kitchen, diningroom, family room, Winnie was running around siffing out everything. About the time I thought about going up to the bedroom area, Chase appeared.

He went out with me and I was standing on the patio waiting for him when someone behind me says "we aren' going until next weekend". It was Janis, Phil wasn't home & in all these years, she has never spoken to me. She said she was in the bathroom & didn't hear the doorbell. Said Adam called to her that it sounded like there was someone in the house. Oh, yeah, there sure was--kitchen, diningroom, family room......Then we got tickled.

She gave me a hug & told me to bring Chase over here (pet sitter's house) if it would make it easier for me. I said oh no, I was pretty good at breaking & entering===was just glad she didn't have a gun!

Can you imagine if she would have appeared when I was in the house? When I told Shar (her neighbor) about it she couldn't stop laughing. I was wondering why they would leave on a Sun. unless hey were both on holiday leave. Oh, well

(I know you have all seen this story on another page. This is how the story was told to me when I first read it. I've had a lot of requests for this story to be told just like it was told to me. So, here it is.)
