Petersfield Business Directory

I am a musician and have just moved to Petersfield. One of the first things I did after settling in to my new home was to look for a local music shop. I was browsing the internet and came across what appeared to be local business directory aptly called ImAfter. All I typed in was “Petersfield Music Shops” and a web page with a single entry listing a local music shop popped up on the screen.

I became more curious as to what other services the directory offered in my new town and to my delight when I typed in several other terms such as “Petersfield Double Glazing” and “Petersfield Loans” the same thing happened. This wonderful directory really is a time saving, as well as informative, and I would recommend its use to everyone. I bookmarked the home page straight away.

When I looked at the home page however, I realised that the directory catered for many towns of all sizes, not just Petersfield. Nearly every county in the UK was listed and within that there appeared to be towns of all sizes. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were over 500 towns listed.

Not just that, there was a listing of over a hundred services, each with its own town page. I calculated that that meant the entire website must have contained over 50,000 pages! The people who created the site must have worked really hard to build something as big as this, especially as it was not only informative, but looked good too.

Again, out of curiosity, I typed in “Brighton Music Shops”, the town I moved from, and low and behold my favourite shop was on the front page of Google! This started me thinking that this directory was not only useful locally, but would come in handy if you were planning a shopping trip or going on holiday in the UK.

When I moved to Petersfield I thought it may take me a while to settle in to my new town. The ImAfter directory really helped me to find out where all the best shops, restaurants, businesses and services in town are. A big ‘well done’ to all those at ImAfter for creating such a useful website.
