Tae-Suk (played by Jae Hee) is a young Korean man, who identifies houses with the residents away eg. on holiday, and then stays in those homes as a squatter. In payment for his services he will perform basic chores around the house, such as doing the washing or repairing broken items.

When he breaks into a large home, he doesn't realise the young wife of an abusive marriage is present, Sun-hwa (Lee Seung-yeon), and watching him go about his business. This is the beginning of an unspoken bond of love between them.

This is an unusual movie in that it doesn't have a strong plotline, and we don't even learn much about the characters. Nonetheless it is sort of character-driven, where that character is the relationship between Tae-Suk and Sun-hwa. At face value, not a huge amount is going on the movie, but within a short time I was totally sucked in by it. It took me until about two thirds through the movie to realise that neither of the main characters had spoken a single word, letting their actions do the talking for them. We learn to understand them and sympathise with them, without even knowing much about them.

I have lost count of how many times I have watched this touching movie, and I'm sure I will watch it many more times in the future. 5 stars.
