Petra Nemcova was born June 24th 1979 in what is now the Czech Republic. It was in December of 2004 that she was injured in the Tsunami that hit Thailand and her boyfriend Simon Atlee was killed. Petra had to stay holding on in a Palm Tree for 8 hours while she waited for help to arrive. She had a broken pelvis and spent three weeks in a Thailand Hospital before she could go home.

Petra Nemcova was on the 2003 cover of Sports Illustrated. She has also been a model for Victoria's Secret and for many other women's clothing companies.

Petra's new boyfriend now is James Blunt.

Petra Nemcova has two cats Sox a large tuxedo male and Bright Eyes a large female Tabby. Petra says they are her best friends on earth and she says she has a wonderful relationship with her two cats. When she is working and traveling the cats have a Nanny who stays full time with the two cats.

Petra is now a Vegan and eats only vegetables. Her favorite food right now she says is tomato sandwiches with lots of mayonaise.
