Great City Jogger

NOTE: PLEASE SEE RECALL INFORMATION BELOW

The Phil and Ted's e3 Explorer double jogger is a must have for the city. The jogger can be used for one or two kids at a time. I wish I would have purchased it with my first daughter and just bought the attachment when we had our second. Our first jogger was given to Goodwill because we have no use for it now and it was expensive. Here are a few pros and cons of this jogger:

Pros

  1. There are four modes: single infant, single toddler, infant and toddler, and two toddlers. The added seat attachment is easily removed and folds compactly for storage.
  2. In the infant mode the baby lies completely flat so you can begin using the stroller immediately.
  3. It is front-to-back instead of side-by-side, so you can walk through stores, narrow sidewalks and through large crowds.

  4. It breaks down for travel pretty easily and compactly.
  5. The front wheel swivels for easy maneuvering.
  6. The handlebar has two height settings for taller people.
  7. There is an attachment for an infant car seat.

Cons

  1. There isn't enough storage. There is a basket underneath, but it is where the feet of the child in the second seat rest, so it's not that usable. You can buy saddle bags, but it makes the jogger wider. I bought an attachment for the Bob stroller that fits on the handlebar for drinks and misc. items.

  2. When in double mode, neither seat reclines. My infant frequently falls asleep in the back seat and her head falls forward. Because of the weight distribution and the steep hills in San Francisco, she can't sit in the front when my toddler's in the jogger.

  3. The stroller should not be used for running because of the front swivel wheel.

  4. It's expensive. The stroller is around $380.00 and the second seat attachment is $89.99. But if you buy this stroller with your first child, and you plan on having more, you'll save on buying a double jogger later.

Overall, we are very happy with this stroller and would recommend it.
