I work in a school library and we have a Canon PowerShot A 400 digital camera for the students to use. One day, a girl asked me if she could borrow the digital camera to take some pictures around the school for her assignment, I told her, yes and gave her the camera. I did not bother to asked her if she knows how to used it, then after a few minutes she came back and said it is not working, I told her, it should work and she said if I could show her how to use the camera.

Honestly, I don't know how to use it, but I did not tell her. Luckily she said, if she could come back because she have a class on the next period, I hurriedly get the User's guide book and study it, I practiced at the backroom and books, scissors, masking tape, computers become my subject.

I really got curious and on that weekend I borrowed the digital camera and I have a good time taking pictures in my backyard. It's by no means the perfect shot but it was fun.

That was over three years ago, in Christmas 2005, I gave myself a Kodak EasyShare Z700, one of the best thing I ever bought.

So that was the start of my adventure in the world of Digital Photography. I feel that photography have allowed me to see things in a different perspective. I enjoyed stopping on the road side to take pictures and now there is always something interesting in little things. I still have a lot of things to learn and I 've learned in every mistake I made.

Today, I always have my camera in my bag, wherever I go, I don't want to miss any special moments or any exciting events along the way. Now, I have a big collection of pictures which I am slowing downloading on the web and making use of it in my hubs to showcase my adventures in digital photography. Scroll down and Enjoy.

Wow, lots of good shots. Have you thought of entering any of them in contests? I think some of the best things about using digital is that you can see if you 'got the shot' right away and take it again if needed. (With film I always took 4 or 5 just in case.) And being able to download to a computer and do some editing and print myself is nice too.

Thanks for sharing

You know, I bought a digital camera earlier this year. It is a Canon. I bought it especially to take pictures and put on my hubs. Unfortunately I have not posted any hubs recently, but the pictures I took really came out great.

I think I shall post a hub with some of the pictures, since that is what I really bought the camera for.

The pictures are really beautiful. You always have wonderful pictures on your hubs.

Good article and the more you get into digital photography, the more you will enjoy it.

In case, you didn’t know here’s a Tip: do not delete a photo from your card while taking pictures. Delete the picture/s after downloading your card to the photo program you use. If you delete it from the camera, it leaves bits of information on the card that can ruin your next shot...
