Comic Effect in Photoshop

Aside from the usual vector cartoon in photoshop, another very interesting activity that we can do on the Adobe Photoshop CS3, CS4, or any other graphics design software is that of the photoshop comic book effect. Basically, an entire picture is editted to replicate the comics style that we know and love. Some people even apply comics filters only to a part of the picture, for instance, the human beings, to combine reality with comics. Below are some ways in which you can learn to do this:

Photoshop Tutorials

One of the best ways to learn how to make a photoshop comic book image is to go through numerous photoshop courses and tutorials that are available online. Most of these tutorials are free, and are very informative and well-written. You can also choose to enroll in different photoshop classes online or offline. These classes, may it be in classroom setting or one on one lessons are a good way to hone your photoshop skills, most especially if you are a beginner. For advanced photoshop artists, these courses are still a good way to improve your abilities in doing photoshop work. Try checking out these photoshop classes and see how fast you will learn the comic book art!

Vector Art

You can also start your photoshop adventure by first trying to learn vector art. While there are a lot of filters which give you the comics style that we want to achieve on our images, it would also be good to start by learning the basics first. There are a lot of free vector clip arts that you can view on the internet. These vector art downloads are best used in trying to learn techniques used to develop the finished product.
