Airport Guide

Getting to the city can be by plane through the Phuket International Airport (PIA) which is a modern structure of glass and steel. The PIA is strategically situated to be near the city’s luxurious hotels and beach resorts which make it very convenient to those who haven’t booked a hotel for their Phuket, Thailand vacation. Aside from the usual international and chartered flights, there are also domestic flights if ever tourists came from other cities of Thailand.


Getting Around

Transportation can never be a problem within Phuket. Taxis, buses, and minivans are available everywhere and even offer hotel transfer services to tourists. Some hotels also offer car rental service tourists depending on the style of service and budget of the tourist. Some of the popular car rental service companies are Avis, Budget, and Hertz. These car rental companies not only offer car rental services but also offer full car insurance and routing within the city. Metered taxis are marked in English and Thai and are colored in red and yellow colors for easier distinction of tourists. Usually, tourists who are in a Phuket vacation, especially first-timers, encounter taxi drivers who haggle or bargain for a fixed price. There are also limousine taxis, distinguished by its silver car color, that have fast drivers but, are relatively expensive. Aside from the taxis, tourists who are on Phuket for a vacation can also take advantage of the inexpensive bus services. Bus tickets are usually priced from 70 to 85 Baht.



Aside from the usual land transportations, there are also water transport services such as ferries, boats, and yachts that offer transfer and island hopping services to tourists. There are also some Phuket, Thailand vacation packages that offer cruise ships and liners that provide the best of one’s Phuket vacation experience.



Accommodation

Most hotels in Kula Lumpur offer various ways and styles of servicing their customers such as European style, Asian style, American and even Caribbean style. Some of the most popular hotels and beach resorts in Phuket are Indigo Pearl, Malisa Villa Suites, The Royal Phuket Yacht Club, and the Laguna Beach Resort. What to See

Phuket is one of those cities which are not short on must-see attractions. The real joy in Phuket lies in shopping, eating, touring, and swimming. It's hot, humid and sometimes crowded streets, however, cause tourists to look for air-conditioned downtime in shopping malls or restaurants. Tourist may find that most attractions are only crowded on weekend and /holidays and are usually deserted on weekdays.
