Be sure to still put larger baits on your lures though because this is what is going to get the fish’s attention.

When it is warm outside sometimes the larger Pike love to sit in the shallow water and soak in the sun. Usually you will even be able to see them through the water. Just be sure not to spook them.

The lure of choice for Pike fishing is probably a minnow. These work the best and if you equip them with a jig or spinner you should be more than ready to go. I have used this combination many times while fish up north and it works extremely well in pretty much all cases. I recommend you try it out if you have not already.
