The Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD is an in-dash audio / video with support for DVD, DivX, MP3, WMA, among other formats. These players improve conventional CD by adding a touch screen easy to drag and drop controls. This player also includes support for Apple's iPod to take the contents of your iPod, including your favorite movies and music with you in the car is even easier. Connect your iPod and everything is controlled by the player. No iPod? The AVH-P4100DVD has a built-in AUX input for playback of other media devices.

You can choose from five colors of the display keyboard 112, or correspond to the interior of your car or your mood. You can even have your own set of JPG files preferred the background wallpaper.

The technical specifications of the device are impressive, the MOSFET 50 W x 4 amplifier give excellent sound quality for minimal distortion and efficient power.

How does it live up to its claims?

Easy installation with the instructions of Pioneer and the installation kit provided. The sound? Well, how can I describe the sound? It is really fantastic. The clarity is unmatched. Far superior to the previously installed unit that will remain nameless.

A couple of small niggles. The first is that the clock seems to be blocked on a 24-hour format and I could not find any way to change this to more traditional 12-hour format. May this be covered in the owner's manual, but I could not find it. The graphics on the screen are a bit amateur, but as you do not spend much time with them, it's not a big problem. Sound quality is impressive because most of these little problems for me.
