Pirate Stories

In March 1995, I wrote a children's story called Pirate Pete. This was long before the famed Johnny Depp "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie came out in 2003 and all the talk about the real pirates in Somalia this last few months.

Why did I write the story, Pirate Pete? I wrote this story because I have always been intrigued by pirates. I have always been searching for my own treasure chest. I haven't found my treasure chest yet, but I am still dreaming and hoping that someday I will.

The main pirate in my pirate stories is Pirate Pete. He is a forgetful pirate but a good pirate, if there can be any such thing. Pirate Pete is the captain of his own ship and has a crew of pirates to help him out.

Like most pirates, Pirate Pete does like to drink rum and party. Pirate Pete thinks about nothing else but treasure chests. He will do anything to get his hands on a treasure chest.

The second pirate story I wrote was written just this past Sunday, May 24, 2009, while I was camping. I am hoping to write more pirate stories in the future because they are a lot of fun to write and I think a lot of people like to read about pirates and treasure chests.

Yar! I like a good story of a privateer of say given Marquee of one King to rob the other. Genious! Argh, I say an armed society is a polite society amongst us brethren of the coastal spirit. Writing a book of me own me hearty, so stay in touch. yee-har! (and other Pirate noises available upon request)
