Places for children to publish their writing
62I Know a few places on the web where you can go for your children to publish their writing. First have you thought of allowing them to create their own www.myspace.com? there they can post hourly, daily, weekly blogs. another site is also www.facebook.com . With things like this you would want to monitor your children's activity and may be place some security on their sites.
There is also a neat little site I highly recommend . Its www.testriffic.com. and www.discoveryarticles.com .When you publish your stuff its automatically copyrighted and there are places for children to write poems, stories, jokes, and create their own questionnaire to send to their friends. This site is particularly (in my view) advertised to children.
You can also create your child's own web page where they can design, talk, and create what they want to show to the world and have your friends and family visit it . You also can edit and control it. You can do this with sites like www.esitesbuilder.com.

that's great info.
It's still a big worry letting young children experiment with the internet, especially when there is nothing to wall off people who might try to reach them for various reasons.
I know more then most I have been in that situation when I was younger and now have a daughter to worry about. You would def. want to set your own password on your child's blog, so that you can monitor everything and control who contacts your child.
yeah, I don't think kids should be on myspace or facebook. Too many predators. You can get free hosting http://wizardhost.biz and set up a wordpress blog for them and help them post like a diary.
I have a couple for my grandkids

After you set it up. You can help them write a post on "notebook" and they will learn by watching you.
Well thank you. I know this information will help.
