One of the most beautiful place to be visited in Delhi is Lotus Temple. This temple is built in the shape of a Lotus Flower, so this temple is known as Lotus Temple. This temple is surrounded by a beautiful 26 acre garden. The nine doors of the Lotus Temple open onto a central hall, capable of holding up to 2,500 people. The central hall is slightly more than 40 meters tall and its surface is made of white marble. Since its open for the public worship in December 1986 this temple is one of the most visited places in the world. Millions of people came over to worship God Silently. It has won numerous awards for its architectural design. Temple is open for all religions and this is a place where people of all religions may worship God without denominational restrictions.

One of the important places to be visited in delhi are the Samatis of the grat leaders of India.  They are:

Raj Ghat (King Court): is the place where the  body of  the Father of the Nation (India) Shri. Mahatma Gandhi cremated on 31st January 1948 a day after his assassination.  It is a beautiful place to be visited in Delhi.  Admission is free but you have to remove your footwear to enter the Raj Ghat.

Shanti Van (Garden of Peace):  Adjacent to  Raj Ghat is the samati(cremation ground)  of late Indian Prime Minister Shri. Jawaharlal Nehru

Shakti Sthal (Place of Power): is located adjacent to Shanti Van where the body of late Prime Minister of India Smt. Indira Gadhi cremated.

Vijay Ghat (Victory Platform): is the Samati (cremation ground)  of Late Indian Prime Minister Shri. Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Veer Bhumi (Land of Brave): is the Samati (cremation ground) of Late Indian Prime Minister Shri. Rajiv Gandhi.  It is also situated near by Raj Ghat.

One of the important place to be visited in Delhi is Jama Masjid. This is oldest (1656 AD) and largest mosque in Old Delhi built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. He also built the Taj Mahar in Agra, India. It is very near to Raj Ghat and just opposite Red Fort. Its courtyard can hold up to twenty five thousand people.
