Life can be stressfull, plan your vacations

I recently had a 5 day escapade to the sunny south of Portugal: Algarve. before writing a bit more about this lovely area, let me just tell you that those 5 days felt like heaven on earth.

Although I love what I do, I have a stressful job (who doesn't?!). The working hours can be to long and the amount of work is painfully high sometimes.

I have two small kids and it's quite easy to overlook them. It's important to me to feel that I'm giving them time. It's important to them and it's important to me because I feel incredibly happy around them.

As we usual try to do, me and my wife planned a 5 day vacation and headed south to enjoy the sunny Algarve, in the most western and oldest country in Europe: Portugal.

Cheap but lovely holidays in Portugal

I love holidays in May: cheap and not crowded

The best thing about having holidays in May, is that you can easily find desert beaches like we just did in Algarve with the Falésia Beach. Of course you have to be lucky enough to have good weather, but your odds are high in the south of Portugal. Even in winter time the temperatures never go to low.

This time around we got very lucky and we were able to bo to the beach very morning. The sea was lovely and the sun was very gentle with us. My kids had almost all the beach to themselves and we could relax under the sun, just watching them fooling around.

Falésia beach is a long lovely beach, with clear sand and without wind. It's a fantastic place to go on holidays with our family.

Our Hotel was very good: cheap, clean and family friendly

Aquamarina Club - a very good option

We stayed at a resort called Aquamarina lub. We booked it online and it was a fantastic bang for our buck. For the 4 of us we paid 410 euros for 5 nights! As you can see in the pictures, the hotel was lovely and we ended up very happy with our choice.

The hotel had lots of green spaces, 4 swimming pools, Spa, kids club and a direct access to the beach. It's definitely a place we would love to return!

My two boys had a lot of fun, and me and my wife were able to clear our minds from our stressful everyday lives. we finished our 5 days holidays with our batteries fully charged. Oh and with a little prettier color on our normally very white skin! :)

A perfect place for a family

One of the most important things for me when I think about my vacations, is to know if the place (geographic area and hotel), are appropriate for small kids. In Falésia beach I just found that perfect combination, and that's the reason why I will be probably coming back.

So if you are thinking about your summer vacations, please put Falésia Beach in your short list of possible locations. You will not be disappointed!

P.S. If you are a fan of fun activities near the sea you will love Algarve also: surfing, bicycling, dance lessons, rollerblading (don't forget your rollerblade helmets!), you have it all!
