A lot goes into planning a Disneyland vacation for you and your family members. You need to determine when the best time would be to visit Disneyland on vacation, how to get to Disneyland, how many days you want to stay, if there are any other attractions you want to visit while there, etc. You will definitely want to look at these a little deeper before you start your planning.

First, when planning a Disneyland vacation, you need to determine when the best time to go will be. The summer months are crazy and you wil find long lines and brutal heat. The spring break season usually starts in early March and runs through early May. These times are as bad or worse to visit Disneyland as the summer months. Our family has always tried to visit Disneyland durning October or November. These times are the slowest and allow for maximum pleasure as you can walk onto just about any ride in either park.

Second, when planning a Disneyland vacation, you need to determine how you want to get to the resort. Believe it or not, a lot of people drive to Disneyland. There are a lot of people who fly. I also know a few people who take the train or Grey Hounds busses to get the Disneyland. Today, with rising gas prices, driving might be a bit expensive. You would think that airfare would be very expensive as well, but with the struggling economy, airfare has dropped over the last month or so trying to stimulate more sales of plane tickets. If you fly Jet Blue, you can find airfare for about $59 each way per person. It is rather affordable!

Third, you will also want to determine how many days you are going to visit Disneyland on your vacation and if you are going to visit any other attractions in the area while there. Most people choose to buy flex passes that allow them to visit the park either 2, 3, 4, or 5 days. Keep in mind that the beach is withing driving distance. You have Universal Studios and Knotts Berry Farm in the area, and Sea World a few hours away in San Diego. There is just so much to do in Southern California that you need to get this all planned out in advance.

Plan, plan, plan. This will ensure that you have a great vacation to Disneyland and your family will be happy. Don't go unprepared or you might just have a miserable time. Preparation is key and you can find lots of information on the internet that will help you prepare.
