Play Lucas Arts Classics with Steam
60Do you remember the old classics from Lucas Arts like The Dig and Indiana Jones? The floppy disks point and click games from Lucas Arts are just amazing, even today when we have high quality graphics and consoles like Xbox 360 and PS3. Recently, I found out about Steam, a website where you can buy play many different games using their unique client. You just have to create an account, download their client, buy a game, and play! You can play from any computer, since the games are not connected to your computer, but to your account. You just need to log in, download the game and play.
The offer releases (you can download the game before it launches!!), games from independent developers and classics like the Lucas Arts’ games. You can make your own library of games, and you are able to download and play them wherever you are! Moreover, they have a community. You can even chat with your friend while playing! Finally, the best thing, IHMO, is the prices. You can buy games for less than 10 bucks, which is very nice. For me, living in Brazil, it is just perfect. I don't have to pay for importation fees and this kind of stuff, I just pay, download, and play!
They have a nice store with so many games (Street Fighter IV included!), but my interest and the reason why I am writing this Hub it because they just release the classic Lucas Arts games! I bought The Dig (I have never played it) some hours ago while at work, downloaded the game, and I will start playing it as soon as I finish this Hub!
If you also want to play, Go to the Steam website and download the client for free. So you can create an account, buy some games and start having fun.
Here are the Lucas Arts' game they offer now (more are coming in the future):
- The Dig
- Star Wars Starfighter
- Star Wars Republic Commando
- LEGO@ Indiana Jones: The original Adventures
