The order of traveled through of the pits in the court gives name to each one of them: pit 1, pit 2, etc. to pit 9 or pit 18 according to the case. In some golf courses to the pits them they are given also other commemorative names or taken of some of their characteristics: their difficulty, their design, names of flowers, etc.
