R and S

I call this an experiment in Randomness and Synchronicity.

First you go to http://www.google.com.

Then you type in 3 random words.

Then you see what you Google up. Sortilage has long been a method of divination. Whether you use a book, an encyclopedia or Google, you can see what you are drawn too and how it impacts your life.

So I'm going to pick random settings of words and post my results. Are you ready?

The first 3 words will be onion, peace, and goblin. Be right back.

Onion, Peace, Goblin

The first page I searched on Google brought up this interesting fiction site: http://www.speakeasy.org/~tdjohnsn/gamesweb/etek20.html

The Eye of the Elf King

I love stories. I'll save that one to read later.

Page 2 reveals a blog called http://ourgoblinmarket.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_ourgoblinmarket_archive.html

Our Goblin Market and has entries about poets and artists.

And check out these cute baby photos on this Japanese blog: http://quaisi.net/2006/08/

called Undercover in Japan.

dough kite caution

My next set of words is:

dough,kite,caution

Oddly, the first thing I click on is a blog called Bagels in HARLEM, which shows a photo of President Bush and a turkey. The turkey is the one in the box. though that's debateable. http://www.bagelinharlem.blogspot.com/

Page 2 reveals a funny movie review of Johnny Depp in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. http://www.hatrack.com/osc/reviews/everything/2005-07-24.shtml

What did search engines reveal before people wrote blogs? This game didn't used to have so many blog entries pop up. Here's another blog about a homeschooling mom who finds she doesn't like to play with her children.

After spending 7 hours a day with the buggers, I can't say that I blame her.

Let's spin the wheel one more time

celibacy,bears,scotch

The first listing is by http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/2bab030.htm and is about Priests, Monks and Nuns. The title is amusing, but I probably don't want to read that, as it will get my pagan knickers in a bunch.

Here's one about homosexuality in animals stirring debates: http://uplink.space.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=freespace&Number=12137&page=15&view=collapsed&sb=6&o=0&fpart=all

Here's an interesting site called The Drifters Legacy. http://www.adrifterslegacy.co.uk/page.php?domain_name=adrifterslegacy.co.uk&viewpage=More%20Scottish

I may have to go back and read that one as well.

Have fun playing the Google game with me Googlers and Googlettes.
