Play Texas Hold Em to Win

Texas Hold Em Poker is one of those games that when you know how to play and some of the tricks of the trade then you can do really well at it. Most people though don't know the game properly and they don't play it that well. This is of course good for you providing you are better than them. Here is some techniques to help you play Texas Hold Em better.

Some Advice for Playing Texas Hold Em Poker

1. Give your Cards a Ranking

Your pocket aces might not be so good any more if there are four hearts on the board and your aces are black. If you think someone else's cards are better than yours, understand how they're playing and either get really aggressive to cause the fold or get defensive and fold yourself.

2. Figure out the Table

If it's a loose table (they call bets a lot) then you may want to bet on strong cards. If it's a tight table (they fold a lot) then you may want to slow-play good cards. Know each and every one of the people sitting at your table and quickly understand how they're gonna play in all situations.

3. Predictability Will Kill You

Never bluff too much or call too much. People will understand how you play and defeat you. If they think you bluff a lot you can raise aggressively on a good hand for a change. Make sure that you keep your game hidden, this way people will fall for your bluffs.

4. Make Sure you Limit Yourself

Have a set-spending limit once you get to the table. Only put a small amount at risk. You don't want to be playing on an off day. Limit yourself to something reasonable and your poker experience will be a lot more enjoyable.

5. Your Face Should Stay the Same

Keep the same face you came in with. If you started out smiling then keep smiling and change your expression between hands. If you have trouble keeping your face neutral you don't have to. Smile away and let people guess your hand wrong.
