How to Play Truth or Dare

Truth or Dare is a game also known as Truth or Consequence. This game usually serves as the culminating activity at parties

The game commences as one player starts to ask another player, "truth or dare?". The one asked can either choose truth or dare. If the queried player chose truth, the one who initiated the game should ask a personal or embarrassing question. If the queried player chose dare, the initiator should dare the former to do an embarrassing dare. The game goes on as everybody gets his or her turn.

VARIATION OF TRUTH OR DARE

These are several variations of Truth or Dare:

  1. Truth, Dare or Torture - a popular game in Australia. Torture implies over-the-top dares.
  2. Lies or Play it Safe - another widespread variation. The one being asked can either answer "dishonestly" or "play it safe" .
  3. Truth, dare, double dare, promise to repeat, Hot chili peppers, licorice, electric chair - If the one asked hot chili peppers, this means French kissing. Licorice is licking anything and electric signifies three dares in a row.
  4. Chicken Cards - this is usually played by younger children. Chicken card is one way to get around a dare. If Chicken card is used, the dare is not longer needed to be performed.
  5. Webcam Truth or dare - this is played by online participants. All participants gather in an online community to chat or interact to set the rules before the game commences. Most rules are usually made up by the players.

Truth or Dare games can be fun as long as the participants play by the rules and do not overstep their boundaries.
