Not every expectant mother needs plus size maternity clothes. In general, the more generously-built woman does not much alter her body size while awaiting the new arrival, which means she might not need plus size garments. The bump on these women is not so pronounced.

Shorts with comfortable elastic, and capris are ideal for summer. A Lycra-cotton blend permits aeration to keep the skin more comfortable.

Many large stores stock plus size maternity clothes but the choice might be limited. An online store might be a good alternative if a large woman cannot find something to her liking.
