How I Started In Podcasting.
75Any other podcasters out there? Other than blogging, I really enjoy doing my podcast. You can give a listen over at libsyn.com also over at blubrry.com I've probably been doing my podcast for almost 2 years now. I joined Libsyn and Blubrry about a year ago, and have been very pleased. Libsyn is my main host and web site which I only pay $6 a month for. Blubrry posts my podcast and it's free to join.
Believe me I am no professional by any means, just a hobby I do along with my blogging. I would really like to meet anyone else out there who is a novice podcaster or maybe thinking about it, and possibly share some ideas or thoughts. Heck maybe even do a podcast together.
I have skype which is a free voice over the Internet you can use, for audio or video. But really haven't tried to use it in a podcast yet, but I'm eager to try.
I record my shows on Audacity which is a free recording software, very popular and a big choice for beginners or even seasoned podcasters. And as you can see I enjoy free!
For my microphone and headset I use Plantronics which I am really happy with. The microphone is built in and very good sound quality for the price. I bought them at Best Buy and as you can see they have quite a few to choose from.
I guess I got into podcasting due to the fact I listen to many of them on i-tunes Probably my favorite is Leo Laporte he is, in my book the king of podcasting or as he might call it "Internet Radio". But he must do a couple dozen different shows. I'm not even close to his standard of podcasting, but he did influence me. My other big influence would have to be my oldest son. He actually turned me on to computers, as far as using them and playing on them, and getting to know them. I have a gaming PC that he helped me order and we play allot. But that's a whole other blog. You can actually find me in i-tunes also, just search under podcasts for "chattin"

Your Hubs are great so far! The only suggestion I can give is to add pictures and maybe a video unit! Since you love podcasting so much why not put one into a video and put it here so we can see what one of your pod casts are like?
