Poem: I Think I'm Being Used
61Sometimes when your dating someone you feel you're being used. But it can be difficult to ask the other person about this! What if they said yes? Words don't always come easy in complicated relationship situations and when you're afraid of being hurt...
I wish I could find the words
To tell you how I feel
There is so much I want to say
But I don't know where to start
There is a thousand questions
That I'd like to ask
But I fear
The answers might not be
What I want to hear
So I stay quiet
Like there's nothing on my mind
But the less I open up
The more I find myself confused
It leaves me lost and lonely
I think I'm being used.
There is a lot I need to know
To help me understand
To find the truth
The hardest task
Is how to learn, how to ask.

Aw, this is a nice poem. There is nothing worse than the worry that we are - as women - being used by someone. There is insecurity there, and uncertainty. But there is always our "self-awareness" and sense of self. Our sense of what we are worth. It tells us things about how others view us. Some honest thoughts expressed here! You are a good poet. I hope in the intervening time since it was written, that you have found answers to some of the questions. : )
