Poem - Spectre of Love

By Drax

my heart trembles in fear

as the spectre of love is raised

your perfect body tense in my arms

as we scratch the surface of each other

and feel the fears underneath

an early kiss full of murmurings

our minds reverberating with the promise of together

as is written in the runes

some souls must meet

we burrow deep into the skin of each other

seeds of a love affair so sweet

the heart wilts at the wave of emotion

deep in the mind of minds we feel the pain

since love brings dislocation

family and friends fail and fall behind

in the nights of aloneness I pine for you

chained to your duty

years and miles from me

and yet my heart bubbling

under the heat of your quiet intensity

I await your tender kiss of kisses

and the anticipation of your body

as it fits into my arms

and we become …as one

Hey Doll, Toa chie - it was hot but alas in the past, I seem to move through lives like a passing train...

O, Drax, what a lovely rendition of the intoxicating nectar of love! Live forever and Bless You!

Yours,

thanks very much Madame S, this perhaps is one of the benefits of being a poet, one or two decent poems and you wake some day to discover you have become immortal... ;-)
