Meditation (A Poem)

Meditation
To the oleander and bouganvilia
Semi precious beryl
Mosses and lichens
And the heavy, but happy
Frions and neons,
I sing to your ability
To transform into symbolic logic.
Last night Ramapithicus spoke to Rameses
And asked after Flora.
Did Ramasaurus before you
Prefer hibiscus or hydrangeas.
Ramapithicus couldn’t recall.
So I sing to Walt Whitman,
Sanctified in a candy sampler.
I look to my jade plant
For slow, but steady growth.
And to my blue dot I say,
Stay.
