How to start your poetry analysis writing a poem

Poetry is such an inspirational thing to me, I like words and the way words can convey so much feeling, love, hate, excitement, joy, sensation. Words can represent so many things to a person, commitment, loyalty, trust, or betrayal.

I usually start a poem by letting my inner expressions show through on a particular topic.

My poem is called : Transition

It is as if time does not stand still, it continues to move forward

even if I am moving backward it never stops

where is the transition ?

it happens as if suddenly although many years have passed

waking up to a new experience, a new joy, peace of existence

transition, is it evolving?

Who will I become? when I transition into a new realm of living

living in the here and now

living in the imagination of my mind

living in amongst a group of strangers who are transitioning with time

time does not stand still it keeps moving forward

Ways to earn money from writing poems:

If you are really interested in earning from your craft then here are some ideas on how you can get more exposure and admiration. Local colleges and universities have a writing department. Talk with the teacher of the class and tell them you would like to be a guest speaker for one of the days they are covering creative writing. Bring samples of your work and talk to the students about being a tutor, let them know you can provide one on one mentoring services.

and a source of inspiration to all those who read it.

Things for a Poet

Everyone needs help to get inspired: Start a interest group that meets once a week, have a designated driver. Choose a place at the beach, in a park or at the lake. Have everyone bring their writing tablets and sit outdoors. Have everyone focus on the scenary, landscape and surroundings. New found inspirations for writing will emerge from taking a look at nature.

Add other elements to the art of poetry, add photography. Go to a local photography studio in your area ask the owner if you can include samples of your poetry writing with the portraits, leave a business card and a website address if applicable and wait for a response from potential customers who want to have something new to add with their photo albums.

Don't forget about the wonderful creative sounds of music, when a poem has the write tone in words add song to livin up the piece.

Now your craft has become a source of income

Very nice poem.Poetry expresses our innermost thoughts about issues that affect our thought process at a particular point in time. Transition has been vividly captured...good job RA.

That is very good RA. I applaud your focus, and ability to warp time and space into lyrics.

Nice poem - you might like work by my friend William Reichard - he has a couple books from Mid-List Press - and had a poem on The Writer's Almanac on December 30th

Keep on and keep well -

I do not know anyone who is not in some sort of Transition. It is a constant. Sometimes I wish that life would just slow down, or that the changes would not be as drastic as they may become, but then we would not experience life to its fullest. Thank you for sharing :)

It seems that as I get older time goes by faster, and I can relate to the saying that "Life is too Short".

JK thanks for the compliment, I was just in one of my expressional moods, it is nice to let words paint a mood verses just always needing words to be stagnant. Thanks again.
