Pokemon Trading Card Game
When the Pokemon Trading Card Game debuted, the most popular card was undoubtedly Charizard. At the time, the Charizard Pokemon card price (for a first edition) soared to well over $100 on eBay! The price for a Charizard has dropped drastically since then, it's still one of the most popular Pokemon cards in existance. A first edition Charizard is sometimes hard to find, but they're only a few dollars now. They are supposedly valued at around $80, but most auctions never reach anywhere near that price. Most Charizard cards sell for under $10.
Another very popular Pokemon card is Ancient Mew. There's a very cool rare Ancient Mew holo card that is holographic all over!
The Lugia Pokemon Card is also in high demand. This card reaches around $2-$4 on eBay.
Japanese Pokemon cards are popular among collectors. Many players and collectors enjoy having their cards in Japanese, since the original series was created in Japan. These Japanese cards can be bought individually or in collections on eBay.

How to Make Your Own Pokemon Cards
Since Pokemon cards can be expensive and hard to find, many people have started making their own. You can make Pokemon cards yourself in several ways.
1. You can simply draw your own on paper can cut them out. If you want, you can create them on the back of index cards, which makes it harder to see through the paper to tell which cards your opponent has.
2. You can print out pictures of existing cards in color, then cut them out carefully and glue them over existing cards. This is especially useful if you have a lot of energy cards or other cheap Pokemon cards that you don't need, because you can print out pictures of expensive Pokemon cards and put them onto cheap cards. These aren't legal for use in tournaments, and the creators of the game probably don't like it, but it's acceptable for playing at home with your friends.
3. You can visit a site like Pokemon Marriland. This site lets you generate your own Pokemon cards online.

Thanks for the comment, Tawny, but I carefully checked current prices on eBay at the time this was written and they were accurate at the time.
Prices for collectible items are highly volatile, and I suggest never relying on prices anywhere other than eBay's current prices and perhaps reliable sources like Scrye.
And I am personally familiar with the subject, thanks. :)
Pokemon Cards. Really good game!)
Japanese cards can be very expensive especially the rarer promos...the cards true collectors want.

Some of your information is inaccurate. English 1st Ed. Base set Charizards are worth and sell for well over $100 on Ebay. Japanese Pokemon cards are not very popular and are not worth much at all. I know this because I am an avid collector.
I would suggest researching topics before writing about them if you aren't very familiar with the subject.
