Well according to scienctist the polar bears natural habitat is melting due to global warming. They believe that we are to blame because of cars that create toxins, and coal burning which is getting trapped in the atmosphere. The bears home is becoming much like a melted slushy, and to which the bears can not hunt for their food, mate, or give birth. So why is it that people are so concerned about how the world is going to end for us but not take inconsideration about the fact that these animals will no longer have a home?! I understand that some people will say that it may be for the better because their dangerous creatures...yes true their dangerous but what carnavous animal isnt? studies have shown that an estimated decline by 30% in the sea ice by mid century, and they firgured that out last september. To think that the artic would no longer be consider the ice land but a big swimming pool. The bush adminastration has declared them as "threatened" under the ESA, but why claim them as that when clearly their becoming endangered. Greenpeace, the national wildlife federation and such affliations can only do so much for these bears without the support of america. How could everyone be so wrapped up in their own concern and not give a crap about whats happening here in real time to other creatures around the world. People were all for the manatees in florida but why not here in the artic?
