abbreviations police use

I've put together a pretty comprehensive list of the words that go with abbreviations used by the police on reports and forms that are filled out by the authorities. Also know as the ol' 10-4" system, it is similar to truckers codes but only in that everyone in the *club* knows what they mean.

There are Scanner codes & the infamous "10" Codes. I have wondered if they vary from state to state. Maybe every county even has some different codes of its own. I havn't found that out. So, I have compiled this list below (just for the heck of it...?) and it is as accurate as I can make it -- if there are errors; please don't arrest me ;}

Police Poll

How do you feel about Police in General?

  • Great Guys (and gals!) What ever would we do without them!
  • Cops are ok, the world would be utter chaos without any!
  • Cops are physos with mental problems which give them the *need* to carry a gun and feel *superior* because of it!
  • They are laughable!
  • I DETEST POLICE of any kind.
  • Necessary Evil
  • Severe self-esteem issues...I feel bad for them.
