What is your feeling on Tag Clouds on blogs? Some say that having the words show up again are both helpful to your readers and your SEO. Others say that they are hideous messes that clutter up your beautiful blog.

I have been under the impression that they were needed for the aforementioned reasons but I have struggled with where to put it on mine.  Also, tag cloud on my blog has caused a little formatting issue for me lately so I was forced to move it again.
